The Princess of Wales delighted her royal fans last night with a surprise congratulatory message to Team GB.
But it wasn’t just her unexpected appearance alongside Prince William, 42, that left Britons in awe: the mother of three debuted a new hair and makeup look.
Kate, 42, who is still undergoing preventive chemotherapy, beamed during her final performance, where she congratulated Team GB alongside a host of A-listers.
Makeup artist Joy Adenuga explained that the 42-year-old royal exuded a “relaxed, approachable look” thanks to her “sun-kissed highlights” and “understated yet polished” makeup look.
The expert told FEMAIL that Kate’s look exudes a sense of “effortless elegance that perfectly suits her role.”

The Prince of Wales, wearing an official blue Team GB shirt, added briefly: “Well done Team GB, you are an inspiration to us all.”
According to expert Joy Adenuga, Kate debuted a new, lighter hairstyle for the occasion and a meaningful makeup look.
She explained: ‘In the Princess of Wales’ final congratulatory message to Team GB, her hair and make-up exude a sense of effortless elegance that perfectly suits her role.’
Of Kate’s bleached blonde hair, Joy said: ‘Her hair appears subtly bleached, with a few sun-kissed highlights, making her brunette locks look softer and more radiant.
‘The light boost of color enhances her natural glow and adds a hint of luminosity that compliments her complexion.’
Speaking about her makeup look, the expert said: ‘Her makeup is understated yet polished, with a fresh, natural base that accentuates her flawless skin.
‘Using a soft, neutral eyeshadow with a hint of shimmer draws attention to her eyes without overpowering them, while a light dusting of blush gives her cheeks a healthy flush.

‘Her eyes are subtle yet striking, with soft, smoldering brown tones that perfectly complement her tanned skin.
Laura adds: ‘She’s enhanced her look with bronzer to accentuate her cheekbones and jawline, giving her a sun-kissed, youthful glow.
‘She’s also used something that looks like a liquid highlighter to further accentuate her cheekbones, which bounces the light beautifully. This really helps define her features.
‘Her lips now have a glossier finish, enhancing their fullness, a departure from her previous preference for traditional pink tones that sometimes made her lips appear thinner. This makeup look compliments her hair and shows off sun-kissed locks.’
The Prince of Wales also debuted a new look in the video, as the 42-year-old showed off a new beard.

American rapper Snoop Dogg, who was a welcome guest at this year’s Olympic Games as a special guest presenter for American broadcaster NBC, completed the video.
The rapper said: “Thank you Great Britain. From Snoop Dogg, the Prince and his beautiful wife,” before clasping his hands and bowing his head.
Kate and William’s glowing video emerged shortly after a heartfelt statement from King Charles III, in which he called all Olympians “an inspiration.”
The monarch congratulated them on their “exceptional successes” and praised their “pure talent, perseverance and hard work” in the message, which was sent just hours before the final moments of the Olympic Games in the French capital.
