Katherine Jenkins looked stunning as she got ready to take the stage at Sandringham Royal Parkland on Friday to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The mezzo-soprano, 41, wore an elegant purple floor-length dress with a princess-style mesh train that extended and rested on the floor beside her holding a Union Jack flag.

Before taking the stage, Welsh star Katherine admitted she is still nervous before performing for Her Majesty, saying: ‘Singing for her means you really have to put out your best performance.

Katherine sported a glamorous makeup look with a glossy nude lip while showing off her dazzling white smile as she fashioned her blonde locks into loose curls.

She captioned the photo: ‘Happy Platty Jubes! Off to @GMB to talk about this weekend and my concert at Sandringham tomorrow night.

“Wearing an @fundjumpers charity t-shirt to get in the mood for this historic celebration, but also because they donate 100 school meals to children living in poverty for every sweater sold.”

Katherine revealed she would begin voice rest as soon as she left the ITV studio.

During her GMB performance, she spoke of her family understanding her needs: “I’m going home from here to go on vocal rest. My kids know the deal now and it’s going to be a game of charades. My husband loves it!

Of the performance, she said, “As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to admire the Queen more and more, so it makes me more nervous because you always want to be your best when you sing to her.”
