Kathua Terror Ambush: Injured Soldiers Shifted to Military Hospital | India News – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Soldiers injured in a deadly terrorist attack on an Indian Army convoy in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir were captured Military hospital in Pathankot on Monday.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the 9 Corps of the Indian Army. According to defence officials, “Indian Army convoy was attacked by terrorists in Machedi area of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir. The area falls under the 9 Corps of the Indian Army.”
Five soldiers were killed and six injured in a deadly terrorist attack on an Indian Army convoy in Machedi area of Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir on Monday night.
According to defence officials, “A convoy of the Indian Army was attacked by terrorists in the Machedi area of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir. The area falls under the 9 Corps of the Indian Army.”
After the terrorist attack, Indian troops engaged the attackers and fired back. Defence officials said, “After terrorists fired, our troops also fired back.”
Meanwhile, an extensive search operation was underway to arrest the terrorists after an army member was injured in Majakote area of Rajouri district on July 7.
