- Keyview 13 “Touch is a mechanical keyboard with a built-in 13-inch touchscreen
- It works with phones, tablets, laptops, desktops and even game consoles
- Unfortunately there is no battery or touchpad, so you have to deliver electricity and a mouse
The Keyview 13 “Touch, from Aura displays, is a compact mechanical keyboard with 82-key (83 keys for the British version) with a fun and useful turn-it has added an integrated 13-inch touchscreen.
This is not the first product of its kind that we have seen – we have previously the Maxfree K3 and the Thanko Mechanical Keyboard with a 10-inch monitorBoth offer the same mix of keyboard and display in one unit.
We have also encountered various do-it-yourself projects that have produced laptops without displays, as well as notebooking stations with built-in screens, but few of them are polished or caught as this.
RGB lighting and adapted shortcuts
De Keyview 13 “Touch’s Screen Folds from 0 to 90 degrees and delivers a matte IPS display of 1920 x 720. It supports full 10-point multitouch and has a wide viewing angle of 178 °, making it useful for video, documents or simply as a second screen.
The keyboard itself uses yellow mechanical switches and PBT keycaps. It is fully adaptable, with hot-swappable keys, RGB lighting and support for adapted shortcuts.
The device includes USB-C, HDMI, two USB 3.0 ports, an SD/TF slot and an M2 SSD bay for internal storage expansion. It also supports 60W PD quickly charging.
It is compatible with macOS, Windows, Android, Linux and Chromeos. That means it works with laptops, desktops, full USB-C telephones such as the Galaxy Line, the latest iPhones, tablets and even game consoles.
The housing is made of aluminum alloy, abs and PC plastic. It is solid but weighs 2,12 kg, making it more a backpack item than something to be used.
There is also a built -in speaker, rated on 1W. That is nothing special, but it will be fine for reports or fast audio tasks.
However, there are a few larger disadvantages – there is no battery for starters, so you have to connect it every time you want to use it. And there is also no touchpad, so unless your device is on the touch, you also want to take a mouse with you.
Yet for a certain type of user, especially those who want to turn their phone into a capable workstation, it is an unusual and potentially useful option. You can buy it Directly from Aura now for $ 399.0020% discount on its usual MSRP of $ 499.
