Kharge’s ‘jail’ comment shows his dictatorial mindset: BJP | India News – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge’s remark that the BJP leadership would have been jailed if the Congress had got just 20 more seats in the Lok Sabha elections has triggered an aggressive response from the BJP, with former I&B minister Anurag Thakur accusing him of being an “intolerant and dictatorial mentality“.
“The mask of love for the Constitution has fallen and the wannabe dictator has dropped the disguise on the arrogant assumption that they have won the elections. He is of the same persuasion who went around swearing by the Constitution and shouted lies against the BJP. Now he has no scruples in threatening his political opponents with imprisonment,” Thakur said.
“His assumption is wrong because Congress finished far behind BJP. But don’t be mistaken about the mentality. It is the same one that BJP had imposed Emergency“, instigating killings of Sikhs and creating ethnic conflicts just to remain in power,” Thakur said as he ridiculed the Congress leader for the threat he had made in J&K.
