Konami says that newcomers can play Silent Hill F without any prior knowledge of the franchise: ‘This is a completely new work independent of the series’

Konami has given some insight into where Silent Hill F states in general Quiet hill series.
Share in a new post on the Japanese Quiet hill X / Twitter Account, Konami clarified that the upcoming horror game is an independent title in the Quiet hill Timeline, suggesting that it has no connection whatsoever with earlier games in the series (via Inflammation).
The studio also confirmed that players do not need prior knowledge of the franchise and that even newcomers in the series can experience Silent Hill F.
“This is a completely new work independent of the series,” said Konami (translated via X / Twitter). “Even those who have never played the ‘Silent Hill’ series can enjoy this game.”

Konami unveiled new details about the game in MarchIn addition to a scary new trailer. The story will follow the teenager Shimizu Hinako, whose remote birth city Ebisugaoka is flooded in a sudden fog and her house transforms into a spooky nightmare.
