La Burgemeester Bass announces evening clock to calm protests

Mayor Karen Bass of Los Angeles announced on Tuesday evening at a press conference that the city will impose an evening clock in the center of Los Angeles as part of his strategy to suppress protests that entered a fifth night.

The curfew starts at 8 p.m. Pacific Time and Til at 6 o’clock in the morning said that the police will arrest everyone who defies the command. The curfew is expected to take a few days.

Protests have broken out in parts of the center of Los Angeles during the day and evening hours from Friday evening and will continue on Tuesday. The political leaders of California have urged the Trump government to stop immigration raids that caused the demonstrations. “I think it is important to point out, not to minimize vandalism and the violence that has space there, it has been important,” said Mayor Bass. “But it is extremely important to know that what is happening in this one square miles, has no influence on the city.
