Land acquisition issues for Rly to be resolved: Revenue Minister | India News – Times of India

BHUBANESWAR: Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari said the Government of Odisha will solve various problems related to land purchase for railway projects in the state. He stated this after a meeting Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi on Friday.
Pujari said that land acquisition was a major problem for various railway projects during the previous government. “Therefore, we will hold a meeting with the officials of the railways, forest department and revenue department to discuss all the ongoing or pending projects in the state,” he added.
He stressed that the work of various departments should be completed within the stipulated deadline. “We will ensure that no railway project approved for our state will face any problems due to delays in the land acquisition process,” he added.
Vaishnaw said that financing of railway projects will not be a problem for Odisha.
