Lara Croft is back in action in trailer for animated series ‘Tomb Raider’
Netflix’s upcoming animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has a new trailer where you’ll see the famous adventurous archaeologist back in action. The trailer was revealed Thursday night during Netflix’s Geeked Week event.
The lengthy trailer shows Lara Croft doing classic Lara Croft things — leaping over molten lava, breaking open a locked door with her knife, contemplating a ruined temple, climbing a rope bridge, wielding guns and bows, battling monsters and wild animals, racing cars and motorcycles, and of course, discovering lots of treasure. It appears the show will also include flashbacks to her childhood.
“History doesn’t always tell us the whole truth, because the real truth is too hard for most of us to bear,” she says in the trailer.
Lara Croft is voiced by Hayley Atwell (best known for her role as Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) and Richard Armitage (of many others, most recently in Netflix’s Fool Me Once) also serves as one of the voices.
Grave robber is coming to Netflix on October 10. The series picks up after the conclusion of the video game trilogy Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
