Large police operation underway in Zuid -Melbourne after shooting with one woman dead and a wounded man

Multiple inner states of the city Melbourne are locked up after a suspected shooting at the police.
It is understood that police officers shot a woman around 5 pm and a man was also injured, although the police still have to confirm the reports.
The situation unfolded between Dow Street and Church Street in South Melbourne with more than a dozen police vehicles and ambulances that are still in the area.
It is assumed that an officer has sustained non-lifferring injuries after he has been attached to a wall by a vehicle. Different shots are reportedly fired.
The police have demolished the area and have lifted pedestrians to avoid the stage.
Researchers from the murder sore team and the Professional Standards Command were both sent to the area.
Local man Alan told Nine news He and his wife heard loud pony his wife believed that he had been weapons shots before the police flowed to the stage.
“Well, there were a few pony, I am not sure what they were, but my wife thought they might be gunshots,” he said.

More than it is assumed that several people have been removed from the scene by ambulances.
Dow Street remains dropped off by the police.
Victoria Police is currently collecting information with regard to the incident that they intend to pass on at a press conference at 7.30 p.m.
