Larsa Pippen Calls Her Divorce From NBA Legend Scottie Pippen ‘The Longest In History’

Larsa Pippen spoke out last month about finalizing her divorce from NBA legend Scottie Pippen, three years after she filed to end their marriage in 2018.

Reflecting on their years of back-and-forth in court on Thursday’s episode of the Getting Real with the Housewives podcast, the 47-year-old model admitted she sometimes wondered, “Is it ever over?”

“It’s the longest divorce in history,” the Real Housewives of Miami star mused. “I’m kind of glad we, you know, are where we are now.”

She added: “I’m kind of happy that we, you know, are where we are now. The divorce is over, we’re still in a great place and our kids are older too.”

The exes share sons Scotty Pippen Jr., 21; Preston Pippen, 19; Justin Pippen, 17; and daughter Sophia Pippen, 13.

“It’s the longest divorce in history,” the Real Housewives of Miami star mused. “I’m kinda glad we, you know, we’re where we are now” (pictured in 2016)

“I wish my kids, you know, had a mom and dad in the same house. I felt guilty because I just, you know, I grew up with my mom and dad,” Larsa told Us Weekly.

Kim Kardashian’s former best friend continued, “I wanted my kids to grow up like this, but as far as our relationship goes, it couldn’t be any better than it is now. To be honest, we are in such a great place. We love eachother.’

‘We will always support each other. We support our kids, you know, we’re just in a really good place,” she explained to the outlet.

Plus, she said she was “really proud” of how she and Scottie “navigated this divorce and other obstacles.”

He first filed for divorce in 2016, shortly before rekindling until she petitioned to end their marriage in late 2018.

On January 6, attorney David J. Glass confirmed the divorce had been finalized to Us Weekly.

“I can confirm that Scottie and Larsa Pippen are now divorced and that the divorce was finalized on December 15, 2021,” Glass said. “All problems have been resolved amicably. The parties are now turning [on] successful co-parenting of their remaining minor children.’

Larsa told the outlet in December 2019 that she and Scottie remained focused on co-parenting in the wake of their split, describing their relationship as “best friends.”

“Our kids are amazing, and I feel like we’re both raising the same way,” she told the outlet. “We are very traditional in the way we raise our children. That’s really important.

“We are obsessed with our children. Scottie and I are the same in many ways. Family always comes first.’

According to The Blast, the details of the financial settlement the former couple made were kept confidential.
