Leaked image of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition suggests design

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 was launched back in July alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 during the Galaxy Unpacked event. Since then, rumors surrounding the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition have been circulating the web. Recently, an alleged render of the phone was leaked online, giving us our first look at the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The leaked image largely lines up with all the rumors surrounding the foldable phone in recent months. It appears to feature a slimmer chassis.

Android Headlines shared the alleged render of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The official-looking render shows the rear portion of the phone in an unfolded state. At first glance, it looks similar to the original Galaxy Z Fold 6, but upon closer inspection, it appears to have a thinner chassis.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition appears to have triple cameras on the back, with the camera island appearing to be thicker than the camera bump on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The rear has a metallic finish, but it is expected to have a glass back. It appears to have an angular look with slightly rounded corners and flat edges. The cover display will have a centered cutout for a selfie camera.

According to previous leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be 10.6mm thick when folded and 4.9mm thick when unfolded. The standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a folded dimension of 12.1mm. It is expected to feature a 200-megapixel main camera. The foldable phone will likely come with support for S Pen and is expected to have an 8-inch internal display and a 6.5-inch external display, larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s 7.6-inch internal display and 6.3-inch external display.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is expected to be called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim or Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. It is rumored to debut in South Korea and China.
