Leaked Lego Fortnite sets show Battle Bus, Loot Llama and more

The fandom overlap between Lego and Fortnite got a real treat in the form of cute and creative Lego-like modes in the video game which launched in December. But those fans may have something else to get excited about: actual Lego Fortnite building block sets, which could be coming as early as October if leaks are to be believed.

Photos and details of Yummy Fateful_Lego show supposed box art for four sets and prices: the iconic battle bus with minifigures ($100), a loot llama ($40), the peely bone character skin ($100), and the durrr burger ($15) mascot. Aside from the bus, the other three sets are full size (not scaled for minifigures), which has prompted commentators to the LegoLeaks subreddit discuss the choice and wonder whether Lego would target these sets primarily at older buyers.

These sets come immediately after free events Lego held last year where fans could build their own Fortnite loot llama (though these free mini-sets are much smaller than the larger loot llama set that leaked).

Lego and Fortnite studio Epic Games entered into a partnership in April 2022 with plans to collaborate on family-friendly creative experiences set in the Metaverse, which we’ve yet to see come to fruition. Epic continues to expand its roster of in-game cameos, including Tesla’s Cybertruck.

Lego has been making sets based on video games for a number of years, from direct adaptations of Legend of Zelda’s 2-in-1 Big Deku Tree to more creative sets like the NES console and Super Mario Maker (with its Luigi expansion). Even more real-world sets, like those featuring Aloy and the robo-creatures from the Horizon games, have come full circle after the Lego Horizon Adventures video game was announced in June.

Neither Lego nor Epic Games has responded to the comment at the time of publication.
