Leigh-Anne Pinnock has revealed that she left her record label Warner Music Group while teasing new music this week.
The first Slight mix Star, 33, signed at Warner as a solo artist in 2022 and released her EP the following year, no hard feelings.
But her solo career got stuck after Warner ‘would not pay for a music video’ for her last single after she reportedly ‘made an impression’ with her other songs.
More than a year later, Leigh -anne has revealed that she will return to music this summer – and it seems that she does this independently with the help of Virgin.

Leigh-Anne seemed to confirm that she had made the label switch earlier this week in a voting note on her Discord channel when she discussed ‘the process of changing over’, and she replied ‘let’s do this’ to Virgin when they commented on her music announcement.
In a further hint that she became an independent artist, Leigh-Anne endorsed the Music Teaser Clip: “Control looks good …”
On Saturday Leigh-Anne shared a collection of Snaps from the studio, as well as a selfie where she wore a cheese-like grin. She said the selfie “what freedom looks like”.
She also doesn’t seem to follow Warner’s head of artists and repertoire Karen Kwak on Instagram. It is unknown whether she followed her in advance.
Leigh-Anne seemed to confirm her label change on Discord and said to say: ‘Seriously guys I wanted to tell what happened, but yes, it is clear that the process of switching has been … Yes, that is what clear time has taken.
