Lidl is launching Oodie dupes and fluffy onesies to keep you warm this winter
LIDL has teased that customers will soon be able to get a fleece hoodie for a fraction of the price of an Oodie.
The fashionable item, ideal for keeping warm during the colder months, will be available in three colours.
Lidl’s oversized fleece hoodie will be available in stores on Sunday, November 17, in sizes ranging from small to large.
The loungewear is made of “warm, fluffy” material and has a fleece lining for a cozy feeling.
Ribbed cuffs help prevent chills, while a pouch pocket is ideal for everything from phones to a TV remote while relaxing at home.
The hoodies have an oversized style that flatters both men and women.
Color options include tie-dye blue, pink and black for $9.99 each.
The fleece hoodies are sure to appeal to bargain hunters, with the original Oodie costing £65 when not on sale.
Lidl’s options could be mistaken for The Oodie, thanks to the similarities in color and design.
Oodies have been described as a “sweater crossed with a blanket” and their soft feel has won them a legion of fans.
Many people claim that they are a necessity to postpone the need to turn on the central heating in winter.
The “wearable blankets” are sold in a wide variety of colors, but the musky pink and blue tie-dye are perhaps the most similar to Lidl’s collection.
According to the brand ‘one size fits most’ and ideal for ‘cuddle up’ on the sofa.
One customer said in their review that their Oodie is ‘warm, cozy and so soft’, while others were excited about gifting it to loved ones.
Even with a flash sale this weekend, the Oodie’s are still significantly more expensive than the Lidl dupe, with the blue tie-dye at £26 and musky pink at £32.50 for a limited time.
In addition to their affordable Oodie dupe, Lidl is giving shoppers another reason to come to the supermarket with their products Esmara Ladies Onsiealso priced at £9.99.
Why do Aldi and Lidl have such fast checkouts?
If you’ve ever shopped at Aldi or Lidl, you’ve probably experienced the ultra-fast checkout staff.
Aldi’s fast reputation is no mistake. The supermarket even claims that its checkouts are 40 percent faster than those of the competition.
It’s all part of Aldi’s plan to be as efficient as possible – and this, the budget retailer claims, helps keep costs down for shoppers.
Efficient barcodes on packaging ensure staff can scan items as quickly as possible, with most products having multiple barcodes to speed up the process.
Shelf-ready packaging is also used, keeping costs low when it comes to replenishing stock.
It has elastic cuffs on the sleeves and ankles to keep warm and has a loose fit for comfort.
The onesie will be available in pink, blue and a multicolored print with sizes ranging from small to large.
As temperatures drop, customers likely won’t be as concerned about how their outfit looks as they are about staying warm in the coming months.
Lidl’s onesie doesn’t appear to have the same cozy lining as their fleece hoodie, but fashionistas are likely to be spotted outside the house.
