Holidaymakers looking for a villa with some fantastic extras can book a stay at a ‘magical’ French Airbnb that, according to tourists, ‘looks like something out of a dream’.

The short-term rental property has a major selling point: a river-like pool flows right through the property.

Located in Goult – a town in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in southeastern France – the ‘Pool House’ has a king-size bedroom and a bathroom and can accommodate up to two guests.

According to the Airbnb listing, it’s owned by antique dealer Xavier, which is why there are so many vintage treasures scattered throughout the interior.

The property is filled with natural wooden elements and lush plants.

But it’s the impressive river-like pool that will undoubtedly amaze holidaymakers most, winding its way through the property from an outdoor dining area and then through the house.

The pool flows through stone arches, past green vines and flowers and even away from the feet of a relaxing lounge bed covered in cushions and blankets.

Xavier’s advert states: ‘Guests are invited to use the owner’s 12 meter swimming pool, shared with his three other properties, set in his unique shady, magical, enclosed and tranquil garden.’

During your stay you will have access to a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, dishes and cutlery, as well as a hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, blender and freezer.

The house is equipped with Wi-Fi, a work area, heating, air conditioning and an indoor fireplace, as well as a 40-inch TV with Chromecast.

Philip from Denmark added: ‘Xavier’s house is by far the most interesting house we have ever stayed in.

‘It feels like a place from a fairy tale.

‘The Pool House, where we stayed, had a very cozy, organic feel and the outside area, with a semi-covered pool running under the house, felt like we were in a very cozy cave.’

Meanwhile, Californian Ryan noted, “Xavier’s house is a five-star stay.

‘The beauty of the garden and the artistic appearance of the rooms cannot be captured in photos.

‘Goult is a very small and quiet town (many shops and restaurants are closed on certain days and certain times of the day), but it was a charming place [from which] to explore Provence and we had some of our best meals just steps away from the Airbnb.

‘It rained all day on our only full day in Goult, but we still swam in the pool (which is fully covered and warm) and it was honestly the best rainy day we’ve ever had.

‘This place looks like a fairy tale!’
