LinkedIn now lets you automate the hiring process with this AI tool
LinkedIn on Tuesday introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI) tool called Hiring Assistant. The company said the feature is the platform’s first AI agent that can automate multiple tasks in the recruiting workflow to make the process easier for recruiters and hiring professionals. The tool is currently being rolled out to select corporate customers and will gradually be extended to all recruitment professionals. The hiring assistant can perform tasks such as compiling a list of qualified candidates, reaching candidates with the right information, providing answers to frequently asked questions, and more.

In a newsroom afterthe professional social networking platform said it is introducing the platform’s first AI agent, called Hiring Assistant. Unlike the other AI features on the platform, which require active user participation and can only assist with certain tasks, the AI agent can handle various tasks end-to-end in the recruitment workflow. LinkedIn says it can handle all the manual tasks that take up a significant portion of professionals’ daily work.
The Hiring Assistant can help recruiters find the right people for the job by building a pipeline of qualified candidates, highlighting the best applicants, creating outreach emails, and moving applicants through the hiring funnel. by getting in touch with them and answering questions about the position.
LinkedIn’s latest AI tool goes beyond regular task management and also offers proactive assistance. For example, LinkedIn says the Hiring Assistant can also provide proactive updates and insights-based recommendations to facilitate next steps in the hiring workflow.
The company says the tool is designed to let recruiters focus on strategic tasks such as advising hiring managers, connecting with candidates and creating a seamless candidate journey. Hiring Assistant is currently available for AMD, Canva, Siemens and Zurich Insurance. It will be expanded to others in the future.
Hiring Assistant will be available to the platform’s paid business users who also use LinkedIn Recruiter – the company’s suite of recruiting tools for hiring managers and job professionals.
