Liverpool are in talks with Juventus about a settlement agreement for Brazilian Arthur Melo.
The 26-year-old, formerly of Barcelona, has been getting questions from Wolves and Sporting Lisbon in recent days. Valencia had made inquiries earlier this month.
The Brazilian is a deep-set playmaker and the Reds are keen to provide cover in the middle of the field, given their massive injury problems.

Melo has emerged as a late target and Jurgen Klopp’s side are looking to meet a deadline.
He is fully fit, eager to work with Jurgen Klopp and believes Liverpool’s style is one that suits him best – better than Massimiliano Allegri’s at Juventus.
The 26-year-old was encouraged by Thiago’s success in the Premier League and is seen as a similar type of player, perhaps lacking the same craftsmanship as the Spaniard.

Melo signed for Barcelona in 2018 and joined Gremio on a six-year contract, but moved to Juventus two years later as part of a swap for Miralem Pjanic.
Since then, he has played just over 40 times for Juventus and scored once for the Italian giants.
He has yet to appear for Allegri’s side this season and is seen as redundant in Turin.
