Lucas Browne scores HUGE upset as he knocks out highly regarded Junior Fa in the first round

Lucas Browne is extremely upset as he knocks out favorite Junior Fa in the first round – after being told he was washed ashore when he was crushed by Paul Gallen

Lucas Browne was believed to have no chance of beating Kiwi boxer Junior Fa after falling to a career low when he was defeated by Paul Gallen last April – but he silenced his critics with a stunning knockout the first round in Melbourne on Sunday.

The 43-year-old was seen as a washed-up former heavyweight champion after his shocking knockout loss to Gallen, and was desperate to show he can still cut it in the sport’s premier league.

He did just that by nailing Fa with a monstrous right hand early in the first round, causing the Kiwi to struggle to get off the canvas.

The referee let the match go on despite Fa being at Disneyland, and he managed to briefly hold off Browne before another massive right hand slaughtered him.

Browne won the World Boxing Association Oceania heavyweight title with the devastating win, his second straight KO win after the Gallen disaster.

More to come…
