Emergency services were called to the Hawkesbury River Bridge near Moeney Moeney, about 58 km north of Sydney, just before 7.20 am on Thursday after reports of a crash.

Fire and save NSW Superintendent Adam Dewberry said that crews worked to free the driver of the truck that was ‘seriously imprisoned’.

‘Firefighters work together with the paramedics to start finding out how this person can be saved from the vehicle.

“That includes cutting and pushing the vehicle to gain access so that they can treat the injuries and then get them to the hospital as quickly as possible.”
