Wyndham Clark, 31, won the 2023 US Open in La Country Club, which pipped Rory Mcilroy with one shot.

Apart from his super weekend in California, Clark has passed a miserable run in the Majors.

His next best result was a T33 at De Open a month after his Our open victory.

But from his 15 performances he did not succeed in reducing eight times – including last week at Oakmont for the 2025 US Open.

Clark Map two four -over rounds of 76 on Thursday and Friday to miss the promotion of the weekend – and every prize money.

His score of +8 saw him finish one shot outside the cut line after he bogey in his second round.

And it seems that his frustration behind the scenes has been cooked.

According to Tron Carter From the No Laying Podcast, Clark is said to have “descended” the dressing room in Oakmont.

He wrote: “Several sources that confirm that it really found out in the dressing room of Oakmont.

“Super stylish, profaning one of the most historic places in Golf and on the heels of his behavior at Quail Hollow.

“Probably time to put him in the cooler for a few months.”

A corresponding photo seemed to show two panels of the damaged changing doors.

Fiercely golf Proponents were quick to lam Clark for his reported behavior.

It was said, “That is also a historic dressing room, I forbid him that he will play TBH again.”

Another replied: “This is unacceptable everywhere. He is a guest of Oakmont. You never do this.”

A third added: “Not even close to acceptable, for a professional or amateur. He must be suspended. Imagine that you are a guest in a club and that does after the round.”

A fourth typed: “He needs to be suspended. This is ridiculous. The Tour and the USGA must make statements that have become strongly affected by the club that throwing it, blasphemy and all other antics that have become the norm in the professional game.”

‘Completely unacceptable’

A fifth answered: “Wyndham Clark must be prohibited from the US Open of next year. Completely unacceptable behavior.”

2010 US Open Champion Graeme McDowell defended Clark.

He posted on X: “This is minimal [in] greet [to] What I have seen other players do. Players you would never expect.

“Oakmont will test the mental power of each player. I have seen it personally.”

During last month’s PGA championship, Clark came under fire to stamping a billboard by launching his driver in anger – to break his club and only avoid a marshal.

A further user of social media noted: “I have long supported Wyndham Clark, I gave him the benefit of the doubt at the PGA championship when he hit the board.

“But this is unacceptable. This is a suspension and at least fine.”

And a last person tweeted: “If I did what @wyndham_Clark did yesterday, I would be arrested. He should not come out with some chatgpt -relief. Must be suspended and fined.”
