Major update on ‘Australia’s most beautiful woman’ as she lands dream job at Qantas
A young Australian woman whose photo of herself in a nightclub went viral for her natural beauty has landed her dream job.
Ryli Johnson, 20, from Murri, from Moree in north-west New South Wales, was hailed as the ‘most beautiful girl in the world’ after a snap of her and boyfriend Tyreice Baira was posted online.
She had travelled to Townsville in northern Queensland with her boyfriend and friends for a weekend away and were enjoying a night out at The Bank Nightclub when a photographer snapped a photo of the couple.
Ms Johnson said she didn’t think much of the photo, but it was shared on the club’s Facebook page and comments soon poured in praising her beauty.
Countless internet users thought she should become a model and her fame spread when Daily Mail Australia spoke to Ms Johnson in March.
Since then, her fame has only grown and she landed her dream job as a customer service representative at Qantas.
The 20-year-old shared a selfie to her Instagram story last week, dressed in her Qantas uniform, with the caption: ‘first shift’.
Ms Johnson previously told Daily Mail Australia the recruitment process was “really exciting” and she didn’t expect to progress any further.
“Qantas is so good. I didn’t expect anything because it was a mainstream role and not a First Nations and Indigenous-identified role,” Ms Johnson said.

‘I went to their assessment centre and did a group interview. I was very intimidated because there were older people with more experience in the tourism industry.’
‘I had never worked in tourism before and I had never been near airplanes… I went abroad for the first time last July.’
Mrs. Johnson said she went home after the interview and told her mother she could have done better.
To her surprise, Qantas informed her that she had successfully progressed to the next phase of recruitment.
“I was crying. I thought, ‘Oh my God, this is such an amazing achievement.’ I was so proud of myself,” Ms. Johnson said.
‘I didn’t expect to be allowed to have a look around because the older people had worked at Virgin and other places.
‘I thought I was just a little black girl from Moree and I didn’t expect this at all. It was overwhelming.’

Ms. Johnson hopes to inspire other young First Nations and Indigenous girls to pursue their dreams
She added that one of her motivations was to inspire other young girls from First Nations and Indigenous peoples to achieve their dreams.
“I’ve always wanted to make a difference in my community because there’s a lot of violence, everyone is on drugs and alcohol and the crime rates are just ridiculously high,” she explains.
“First Nations girls would message me and say, ‘You’re a beautiful girl, you keep paving the way for us,’ and that really touched my soul,” said Ms. Johnson,
“I’m such a proud First Nations woman and I want to represent my culture and show people that it doesn’t matter what color your skin is.
