Make the Best Salmon of 2024 in your Airfryer
I have more than ten years of experience in the field of food, kitchen gadgets and living tips. In the past year alone, I’ve tested dozens of air fryer recipes. What did I discover during that time? That this 10-minute air fryer salmon recipe is one of the easiest and tastiest meals you can make with the humble appliance.
Salmon made on the stovetop in a skillet is great, but you’re bound to end up with a greasy, fishy stovetop finish afterwards. Roasting or baking salmon in the wall oven is another good option, but for a few servings of fish you’ll need to heat up that big piece of equipment all the way. It can be really annoying if the smell of seafood lingers in your kitchen for hours after you’ve finished cooking.
Air fryer salmon has been a revelation for me, and thanks to the quick, clean method, I’m eating more seafood than ever. An air fryer cooks fish quickly and requires little mess and use less energy than the large oven. The entire recipe can be completed in less than 15 minutes, leaving you with a tasty medium-rare piece of salmon to stuff some protein into when you’re in a hurry.
As with most fillets of fishSalmon does well with a high blast of heat to crust the outer layer without overcooking it through the center. Air fryers are designed to do just that with super convection that blows hot air at high speed into a small cooking chamber using a powerful fan.
Preheating an air fryer only takes a few minutes, so if you’re making a quick weeknight meal for one or two people, cooking salmon in the air fryer is a plus. Air fryers too cost less to use and use less energy than large ovens, and they don’t create a greasy mess like searing salmon on the stovetop.
Making salmon in the air fryer takes about 10 minutes from start to finish. This way you can make a perfect fish fillet every time.

The air fryer is my favorite for roasted chicken and replaces my slow and dirty oven recipe. I recently learned to make juicy air fryer cheeseburgers and sizzle bacon in less than 10 minutes and without dirtying a skillet or griddle.
Air fryers are incredibly useful and can perform many of the same tasks as an oven. They only take a few minutes to preheat, they contain a lot of the cooking mess you would otherwise have to spend time cleaning up, and they are generally more energy efficient cooking appliances.
If you plan to prepare meals with an air fryer, you will want to make sure that there is enough space in the appliance for the food you want to prepare. Many air fryers can accommodate one person’s portion size, but you will probably need to run the air fryer several times to make enough food for the whole family.
