Man who paid more than $6,000 for a first-class ticket on a 15-hour flight left in anger after being forced into filthy seat to use ‘rawdog’
A man who shelled out more than $6,000 for a first-class ticket on a 15-hour flight is furious about the “moldy” and “torn” seat and “broken” entertainment system.
Anip Patel, 34, a Chicago-based CEO of an investment firm, recently had a “nightmare” flight experience while traveling on Air India from his home in the US to Delhi, India.
The entrepreneur documented the ordeal on TikTok, claiming his expensive chair was covered in dirt, “hair” and “mildew.”
And on top of it being ‘dirty’, he also said several things were ‘broken’ including the TV – leaving him with absolutely nothing to do during the long journey.
“Come with me in the worst first class cabin I’ve ever been in,” he said in the video, which has been viewed more than 2.6 million times.

“This is non-stop Chicago to Delhi, Air India. It cost $6,300 one way or 250,000 miles.”
“Look how dirty this is,” the mogul said as he zoomed in on a pile of dust and dirt that had built up near the seat’s exhaust.
‘There was hair in there and something was moving in every compartment. Everything was torn, destroyed or had mold on it. I understand normal wear and tear, but this was next level.”
Anip then shared a montage of clips of the various things he found in his cabin, including a huge tear in the seat, what appeared to be tape holding something together, stains on the compartment containing the flight safety sheet, and more dirt in the cracks. .
‘Everything was just torn or broken. They could have easily wiped this off with Lysol,” he said.
When it came to the amenities, the investor trashed those too, claiming the “hot towel” was “cold” and that there was “mildew” on the headphones.
When he looked at the menu, he said the food “looked promising,” but he was disappointed when he found out ’30 percent of the items were not available.’
‘They only had one of each item available. There were four of us in the whole hut, but basically it was first come, first served,” he said.

He ended up ordering some samosas, which he described as “average,” and a bowl of charred leek and parmesan cream soup.
‘[The soup was] Absolutely delicious,” he said afterwards. “The only good thing about the flight.”
He then decided it was time to get comfortable and explore the entertainment system, but was furious when he discovered it didn’t work.
‘Naturally. 15 hours and no entertainment,” he said scathingly.
Anip added that the plane did not have Wi-Fi, which meant he was forced to make the flight ‘raw dog’ – a term that has recently become popular on social media and refers to the practice of not using any form of electricity during a flight consume entertainment. .
“The entertainment system did not work for the entire 15 hours,” he stated. ‘Everything was broken… It was a nightmare, I survived this flight raw.’
“By far the worst airline I have ever flown in my life,” he added.
DailyMail.com has contacted Air India for comment.
Responding, Anip revealed that he had received a full refund for the flight.
“I didn’t complain to Air India, but they saw this video on social media,” he wrote.
