Slovakian Dubravka said Ronaldo was pleasant to talk to and showed great interest in his life
“We had the opportunity to talk to each other before training and after training in the gym,” said Dubravka.
“He asked me about my family, whether I was staying in a hotel and the usual stuff.
‘He showed an interest in communication and started first. I didn’t want to look like a fan and go straight to him, but it was really nice to talk to him about everything.”
“I probably had the most contact with him throughout the day, except for Scott McTominay and Tom Heaton, who are of course next to me in the locker room.”
Dubravka, now 33, joined Erik ten Hag on a rental basis from Newcastle this summer
Ronaldo tried to leave Manchester United in the summer in search of Champions League football, but failed to leave the club.
The 37-year-old has started United’s last two games after an injury to Marcus Rashford, and manager Erik ten Hag looks set to integrate Ronaldo back into his plans.
It has been suggested that former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel refused to sign Ronaldo on the grounds that he would disrupt dressing room morale, a feat that several reports say Ronaldo is guilty of.
But the attacker seems happier at United following the improvement in the squad’s form, with the Red Devils now fifth in the Premier League and Ronaldo poised for a point in the team.
