Megan McKenna starts ‘tough’ six weeks with baby Landon and anxiety disorder

MEGAN McKenna has opened up about feeling like a ‘zombie’ and her ‘struggle’ with anxiety after giving birth.

The former TOWIE star, who recently gave birth to her first child, a baby boy named Landon Henry Burke with her footballer fiance Ollie Burke, revealed all on days ‘full of tears’ and weeks of ‘no sleep’.

The 31-year-old, who recently described breastfeeding as the “most beautiful and painful thing I have ever experienced”, shared it all on her recent day out with her partner and son.

It comes after the brunette beauty admitted she ‘cried a lot of tears’ after her son was diagnosed with reflux – a condition common in infants that causes stomach acid or food to flow back up into the esophagus, resulting in discomfort and sometimes pain.

Taking to social media, Megan shared a series of adorable snaps from her recent family day out, writing: “We had Sunday lunch outside today, of course Landon ate his lunch at the table too.

“We laugh because our Sunday walks now last all day.

“By the time I feed Landon, change him and get ready, Oli is packing up the car and changing him one last time because he had an explosion, we finally arrive at the actual destination to go to the time to look and realize that it is time to eat again.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way, the love I have for him is insane.

“He was such a good boy today. He is so alert and looks around everywhere! Nothing can beat his little open eyes.

“We’ve been on a few trips lately, but today was our best yet.

“The last few were full of tears. He has definitely been so much happier and didn’t cry as much!

‘It’s just true Nice to have days where we can do tummy time and baths and chill and really enjoy the newborn bubble.

Megan, who gave birth in Germany after moving there with her Bundesliga-playing fiancé, opened up about her recent struggles, as she confessed: ‘The last six weeks have been so hard because of his reflux and no sleep.

“I was like a zombie and really struggled with the anxiety that came with it.”

One person said: “Reflux in babies is completely underestimated because it is so difficult for both the baby and the mum and dad! I still remember the screams to this day, it’s so hard! Keep it up, you seem like you’re doing a fantastic job.’

Another added: “You’ve got the hardest part done now! Well done for sticking to breastfeeding.”

A third commented: ‘No one will understand how awful it is to see your newborn suffer from reflux unless you’ve experienced it. Omeprazole has changed our lives, I am so happy it is helping him.”

While someone else beamed: “Well done! Honestly it’s so hard and lack of sleep will take you to some really dark places but if you get out of it when you have the chance energy it’s great.
