Meghan Markle looks effortlessly chic in $5,000 designer outfit while visiting Colombia with Prince Harry

Meghan Markle showed off her effortlessly chic style as she and Prince Harry visited a school in Bogota’s Santa Fe neighborhood on Friday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently on a ‘quasi-royal’ tour of Colombia, visiting a school with at least 16 armoured police vehicles, and armed officers and soldiers.

Meghan looked stylish in a pair of black, high-waisted cigarette pants, which she paired with a white shirt that she tucked into her pants, leaving one button open at the top.

She completed her professional look with a dark camel-colored designer blazer with large lapels and matching buttons, which she had slightly folded up at her wrists.

The jacket, by Loro Piana, is a favorite of Meghan’s. The price of this piece, made of a linen and wool blend, is $3,750.

The Duchess also appeared to be wearing classic beige and black Chanel slingback ballerina flats, which retail for $1,100, and she wore her dark hair tied back in a tight bun with a center parting.

She also carried a small beige handbag over her shoulder and on her wrist she wore some simple gold jewelry.

The 43-year-old duchess added an extra touch to her elegant look by wearing her mother-in-law, Princess Diana’s, diamond butterfly earrings.

Meghan was previously spotted wearing the jacket when she and Harry visited Nigeria in May for a photo with Derrick Cobinnah, chairman of the Ghana Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and co-founder of Forces Help Ghana.

Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan’s security in Colombia also includes an officer armed with a Kevlar shield to prevent a potential gunman from targeting the couple.

At every event the couple has attended, the man – who was part of the local security team – has been seen jumping out of a vehicle that pulled in front of the couple, holding the folding shield.

The visit to the school, which is overshadowed by run-down apartment blocks and several slums that cling to the nearby hills, comes despite Harry’s concerns about its security measures during his visit to the UK.

After being greeted by the school’s director, Serafin Ordoñez, the Duke and Duchess, together with the country’s Vice President, Francia Marquez, took part in a brief tour.

The couple attended an art session, visited a nursery class and helped the young students plant trees in the school garden.

Later in the day, the couple will have a private lunch with Vice President Francia Marquez, after which they will meet members of Colombia’s Invictus Games team, who are preparing for the 2025 Games in Whistler, Canada.

After being greeted by the school’s director, Serafin Ordóñez, the Duke and Duchess, together with the vice-president, took part in a short tour of the school. They took part in an art session, visited a nursery class and also helped plant trees on the school grounds.

Meghan helped Manuela, a five-year-old, plant a walnut tree, while Harry helped with a guayacan tree, a plant native to South America.

The whole school had prepared special moments for the Duke and Duchess’ arrival, with performances taking place throughout the school grounds. Students wore traditional Colombian dress and sang songs, while there was live music.

The students also presented gifts for Harry and Meghan’s children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, including Colombian ponchos, and personal letters and drawings.
