The trailer begins by establishing Pinch as an eccentric actor, playing the character of a judge on a fictional set while Waldo watches intently.

When the director yells Cut and tells Pinch that his performance was great, the actor replies, “Great? That was damn genius. You’re not going to outdo it.’

Receiving applause as he leaves the show’s set, he jokingly jokes, “It wouldn’t be my first time clapping.”

We then go to Waldo while he is still retired, swimming on a plastic water donut in the middle of a lake.

He is approached by Lorena Nascimento (played by Morena Baccarin). “You made me ghost Waldo,” she says, and he replies, “I ghosted everyone.”

“Look, I’m here on business,” she explains, going into great detail about Alistair Pinch and his wife.

After Waldo says that Pinch “killed his wife,” she replies, “Maybe he killed her or maybe he didn’t. I don’t think he even knows. The man is blacked out drunk.’

She explains that because of the network’s investment in Pinch, they are looking for a private investigator to investigate the situation.

“I’m retired,” Waldo replies, and we get a taste of the minimalist lifestyle he leads in his trailer.

But Nascimento is not giving up. “Come on, let me take you back to the real world,” she says.

It appears that Waldo is taking the case, as he encounters Pinch giving him a dramatic speech.

‘What say you, Detective, will you return to your mountain and leave me to fate? Or will you stick around long enough to see that the police might get it right this time?’ he asks.

Waldo and Pinch are then seen driving to a kindergarten attended by the actor’s daughter, as Pinch calls it a place for “the rich and famous.”

“Death must have been a shock here, huh?” Waldo asks Jayne White (played by Lucy Fry) – the kindergarten teacher, who tells him to meet her later so the two can talk.

Meanwhile, Pinch, wearing blue robes, replies, “Don’t be silly honey, the network will love me in this wardrobe. Anyway, if it’s good enough for wacko jacko, it’s good enough for me.”

Towards the end, Pinch and Waldo get into a scuffle. “Okay, look, I’m a pacifist and I refuse to get involved,” Waldo says, then punches Pinch in the face.

“Have you had enough?” asks Pinch, lying on the floor. “I’ve had enough,” Waldo replies.
