Microsoft is facing another global outage, leaving users unable to access email, Xbox Live and 365 features
Microsoft 365 has announced that it is investigating poor performance of its services and features.
The complaints come amid a new global outage that is leaving users struggling to access email, Xbox and other 365 functions.
The company reported around 9:15 a.m. EST that its systems were down, reportedly affecting networks across Europe and the U.S.
The outage comes less than two weeks after Microsoft servers went down worldwide, shutting down thousands of flights and disrupting banks and emergency services.

“We are investigating reports of issues connecting to Microsoft services worldwide. Customers may experience timeouts when connecting to Azure services,” Microsoft said in a statement. after on X.
“We have engaged multiple engineering teams to diagnose and resolve the issue. More details will be provided as soon as possible.”
The company added that “more information can be found under MO842351 in the control center.”
Microsoft said that its Azure services have stopped working and that “some customers may experience issues connecting to … services worldwide.”
Azure is a cloud firewall security service that provides protection against threats to files, data, and other apps.
DownDetector has received hundreds of reports since 8am EST from users complaining that they are unable to access their email in the app or in a browser, and that people are not receiving scheduled calendar invites.
The control center indicated that a new update will be released at 11 a.m. EST and that “multiple engineering teams are currently working to diagnose and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
“We have identified multiple workflows and are working to mitigate the impact by performing failover operations.”
People have complained about the outage via X. One person wrote that both their Xbox and Minecraft were not working.
“Who the hell came up with the idea for Microsoft to provide so much reliable functionality on one system?” one user wrote.
“That’s a really bad habit. I literally can’t do my job because it’s down again.”
