Millions of users can fall for a fake-Facebook advertisement for a text-to-ai-video tool that is simply malware

- Fake ai Video Editor advertisements are aimed at Facebook users

The Mandiant Threat Defense Group of Google has identified a campaign, followed as UNC6032, which “the interest in AI -Tools Knapent” – in particular tools used to generate videos based on user prompts.

“Although our research was limited in the reach, we discovered that well-made fake” AI websites “pose an important threat to both organizations and individual users,” the researchers confirm.
“These AI tools are no longer aimed at only graphic designers; everyone can be lured by a seemingly imperative advertisement. The temptation to try the latest AI tool can lead to everyone becoming a victim. We advise users to get caution at AI tools and to verify the legitimity of the website of the website.”
