MOLLY-MAE Haag has admitted she regrets a controversial comment she made which left her facing a huge backlash from fans.
The 25-year-old influencer and fashion brand owner came under fire after making ‘tone deaf’ comments about poverty on Steven’s website. The diary of a CEO podcast.
Molly faced backlash from fans when she said in the 2021 clip: “You get one life and it’s up to you what you do with it. You can literally go in any direction.
“When I’ve talked about that in the past, I’ve gotten a little bit of criticism, with people saying, ‘It’s easy for you to say that because you didn’t grow up in poverty, so for you to sit there and say we’re all the same Having 24 hours in a day is not right.’
“But technically what I’m saying is correct. That’s correct,” the TV personality continued.
Now, Molly has addressed the comments she made, saying she “meant no malice.”

In her recent interview with British Vogue, the Love Island star explained: “Obviously I meant absolutely no malice or anything malicious by that comment. Would I have worded it differently now? One hundred percent, not to upset anyone.
“But you don’t always manage to do it right, to put your life in the public eye.”
The star added: “People think I’m quite controversial.”
In her interview, she also opened up about what happened in the days after her split from Tommy Fury.
Molly, who called off her engagement to boxer Tommy in August after months of speculation, said her close circle of friends had rallied around her after the split.
They went to members club Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire to support the mother-of-one.
Molly opened up to British Vogue about her shock split, saying: “I had a few days where I was like, ‘I don’t really know how I’m going to get through this’.”
Molly was surrounded by her inner circle as she tried to drown her sorrows with a glass of rosé.
But the influencer, who has often said she doesn’t drink alcohol because she hates getting drunk, decided to give up the booze.
“It’s literally four friends,” she said.
“It actually is. It just works best that way, because then you know that the people around you are really there for the right reasons.”
Tommy, 25, reportedly cheated on influencer and businesswoman Molly-Mae “a number of times” while she sat at home “holding the baby” – although he has vehemently denied the claims.
