Molly-Mae Haag shares £3 beauty purchase in her £4,000 ‘everyday’ bag
MOLLY-MAE Haag has revealed that not everything in the £4,000 handbag she carries every day is expensive.
The Love Island star turned businesswoman, 25, gushed over a budget-friendly item that comes in handy for her beauty routine and when going out with her daughter Bambi.
Molly, who shares one-year-old daughter Bambi with Tommy Fury, wears a leather Bottega Veneta bag “every day”, which costs £3,670 from Net-a-Porter.
She told me British Vogue that a large bag is crucial for mothers, but admits that it can be difficult to find what she is looking for.
The influencer opened up about the items she carries, revealing that the ‘biggest’ is a product that costs just £3.
“Wipes, essential for mothers,” she said.

“A bit boring, but these are great if you have a baby, but who doesn’t need a set of wipes?
“These are great for taking off your makeup. They are literally 90 percent water.”
Molly held up WaterWipes Original Baby Wipes, which cost £3 at Asda.
According to the manufacturer, they are designed to “gently” cleanse and protect sensitive skin.
They are suitable for the skin of newborns and premature infants, while also being “highly recommended” by midwives and other healthcare professionals.
Customers have described them as “perfect for multiple uses” and a “very good” alternative to regular facial wipes.
Molly revealed several other beauty essentials in her handbag, including hair buns, claw clips and perfume.
The ‘bougiest’ item, however, was a hairbrush from La Bonne Brosse.
“I do believe that these hairbrushes, even for a mini model, might be an odd £90, which I think is absolutely astronomical for a hairbrush,” she said.
“But this was a gift and it is very sweetly engraved with the name of my new brand Maebe.”
Molly’s fashion brand sold out in just 24 minutes when it launched in September.
The collection included knitwear, blazers and trousers.
A Molly-Mae fan’s opinion on the Maebe range and its prices
EVER since Molly-Mae Haag, 25, walked into the Love Island villa in 2019, I’ve always been a mega fan.
After hearing the news that she was coming out with a fashion brand, I was naturally excited.
But as much as I hate to admit it, I’m disappointed.
I understand she launched Maebe as a higher end brand. I know it won’t be Shein quality.
But with prices ranging from £35 to £140 I’m definitely not impressed.
Maebe’s ‘ultimate blazer’ costs a whopping £140, while a very simple, plain white T-shirt costs a whopping £35.
Not only this, but the “contour popper top” costs £50, and a seemingly boring white shirt will set you back a whopping £65.
And if that’s not bad enough, £90 for a pair of jeans? I understand paying £50 for a good quality pair of jeans, but £90?!
That’s incredibly high when you consider that you can get Levi’s, a renowned brand that has been around for years, for just a tenner more.
So, am I going to buy anything from Maebe? The only thing I can say to that is that Maebe is (absolutely) not.

Other items in Molly’s purse included floss, Polaroids and chewing gum.
She raved about the Tatcha Kissu lip mask available at Sephora for £27.
“I don’t really carry a lot of beauty products with me because I don’t normally wear a lot of makeup,” she said.
“But I do have lip products with me. I can’t leave the house without lip balm because I get the driest lips ever.
“You’ll just see bits of skin falling off.”
Molly said she would put her daughter Bambi in her handbag to take with her everywhere if she could.
As a distraction, she lets Bambi loose in her handbag while she’s busy.
“She loves opening things like this,” Molly said, referring to the lip mask.
“If I let her loose with something like this, you just know it’s going to be everywhere and a nightmare to clean, but that’s why you have reliable wet wipes with you.”
