Moment Secret Service snipers shoot the gunman who shot Donald Trump
The incredible moment Secret Service snipers took out Donald Trump’s would-be assassin was captured on video by terrified supporters in the crowd.
As Trump spoke, two police officers could be seen atop a building above the stage at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
At almost the exact moment Trump grabs his ear after being hit by a bullet, one of the officer’s high-powered weapons can be seen bucking back.
The officer shot the gunman, who was hundreds of yards away on a rooftop, hitting him in the head.
Trump was then escorted off the stage by more officers, but not before waving his fist in the air and shouting to the crowd, “fight, fight, fight.”
Dramatic new video of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump shows the moment Secret Service snipers on a rooftop fire at the gunman hundreds of yards away.
The failed assassin was shot dead, but not before killing at least one member of the crowd at the terrifying scene at 6:15 p.m. Saturday.
Two others were seriously injured.
Witnesses said they saw the man with a rifle climb onto the roof of a building 400 feet away, where officers found an AR-style rifle.
The suspect fired at least eight shots from outside the security zone. This incident immediately led to calls for an investigation into the security lapse.
A witness to the killing said he alerted Secret Service agents to a man with a gun on a nearby roof minutes before they opened fire.
The witness, identified only as Greg, told the BBC he saw the suspected gunman climb onto a roof outside the event and was stunned by the lack of action from officers.

“I thought to myself, ‘Why is Trump still talking, why didn’t they take him off the stage?'” he said. “The next thing you know, five shots go off.”
He added that he saw the Secret Service “blow his head off.”
After Trump was shot, he assured the crowd that he was gone, then issued a statement from the hospital detailing what had happened to him.
He posted a statement on Truth Social confirming that he had been struck by a bullet, while also thanking the Secret Service and law enforcement for their “quick response to the recent shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania.”
How the shooting unfolded at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday
‘Most importantly, I would like to express my condolences to the family of the person who died at the demonstration, and also to the family of another person who was seriously injured.’
“It’s unbelievable that something like this could happen in our country. There is no information about the shooter at this time, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew right away that something was wrong because I heard a whooshing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet tear through my skin. There was a lot of blood loss, so that’s when I realized what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
The assassination attempt occurred just days before the Republican Party convention opened in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Bystanders are seen after the shooting. The man in the blood-stained white T-shirt is an ER doctor who told CBS News he was trying to help a bystander who was killed in the shooting. The dead bystander was on the ground, just behind the man in the blood-stained white T-shirt.

Trump is expected to address delegates in attendance, who will formally nominate him as the Republican Party’s candidate for president.
His campaign team has indicated that he will still attend the convention and that it will take place as planned.
“As communicated earlier this evening, President Trump is doing well and is grateful to law enforcement and first responders for their swift action.”
“President Trump looks forward to joining all of you in Milwaukee as we continue our convention to nominate him as the 47th President of the United States. As our party’s nominee, President Trump will continue to share his vision for Making America Great Again.”
