Moment when the movie ‘Karen’ explodes in mother after she accidentally sees a little boy sitting in her reserved seat at the screening of Despicable Me

A movie fan was caught on camera lashing out at a mother whose child accidentally sat in her reserved seat.

Erin Walton shared on TikTok the gruesome scene that unfolded at Cinemark Buckland Hill in Manchester over the weekend, which only ended when local police arrived on the scene.

Her video shows an unidentified woman, wearing a red T-shirt with the words Bread Box Theater on it, punching Walton in the face because her son was sitting in the wrong seat.

“I was attacked along with my children at the new Despicable Me movie because my son was sitting in her seat,” Walton wrote in the caption.

‘Simple, quick fix, but the Bread Box Theater employee didn’t give us a moment’s notice #TerribleIndeed.’

It is not clear from the images what exactly prompted the woman’s confrontation with Walton.

The footage begins with the woman trying to knock the camera out of her hands as she begins filming, and Walton responds by shoving the woman.

“Don’t take my phone, are you crazy?” she asks the woman.

Soon a boy appears on screen and tries to pull the woman away, as she comes face to face with Walton again.

“I asked you to step back, you are rude and disrespectful,” the mother says, before the boy leads the woman away.

Walton then asks her son for his ticket and confirms that they are in the wrong seat.

She then begins to move her son and daughter to another row, but not before saying to the woman, “Give some decorum, that’s all that’s needed.”

The woman seems to take the comment hard and puts her hands on her hips as she says, “I was talking to you -“

But Walton interrupts her and says, “Don’t do that, I’m a grown woman, you’re not my mother.”

After Walton takes her children into care, the woman again condescendingly says they are a “wonderful family.”

That seems to prompt both women to go to the lobby to complain. Walton tells a theater employee that she wants to speak to a manager and asks if she wants to call the police.

“Are you going to press charges?” the woman asks incredulously. “You’re the one who pushed me.”

“Absolutely,” Walton replies.

She later posted a follow-up video showing officers at the theater, claiming the woman had been ticketed for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

“She was taken away and fined,” Walton wrote of her attacker.

Sources at the cinema have since confirmed to DailyMail.com that the woman was also evicted from the building and banned from the cinema.

DailyMail.com has contacted Manchester and Walton police for comment.
