Moment’s fugitive’s ‘Santa antics’ go terribly wrong when he tries to hide in a chimney
This is the moment a man was arrested after he got stuck in a chimney while trying to run from police over a roof.
Robert Langlais, 33, took inspiration from Santa’s and tried to hide in the shaft on December 10 in Fall River, Massachusetts.
But he soon became trapped and had to be rescued by the same officers he was fleeing. The incident was captured on police camera footage.
Police said Langlais and another man escaped from a property where they were executing a search warrant and the pair ran across the roof.
“One man evaded arrest by jumping from the roof to a parked vehicle,” Fall River police said in a post on Facebook.

‘The other man, later identified as Robert Langlais (33 years old), invoked the essence of the seasonal icon and tried to hide in a chimney.
‘Langlais soon found himself trapped in the chimney and required the help of the same detectives he was previously fleeing from.’
The 33-year-old was rescued with the assistance of the Fall River Fire Department and Fall River Emergency Medical Services and taken into custody.
“Due to his Santa antics, Langlais was transported to a local hospital and medically cleared as a precaution,” Fall River police added.
Langlais has now been charged with possession of a class A drug, possession of a class B drug and a “slew of charges on outstanding warrants,” authorities said.
“Also present and arrested, with less theatrics, was Tanisha Ibay (age 32) on charges of possession of class A drugs and possession of class B drugs,”
