Mommy blogger accused of faking her baby’s brain tumor will be denied access to $60,000 in donations from kind-hearted Australians

An Australian mummy blogger has been locked out of $60,000 in donations for an online fundraiser for her sick baby after being accused of faking the child’s brain tumor by drugging her.

The mother-of-four, who cannot be named to protect the child’s identity, gained more than a million followers by documenting her child’s life-threatening illness in detail on her social media accounts.

Hospital staff are said to have raised the alarm after the mother’s online updates about the child’s surgery did not match her actual treatment. The baby was placed in foster care on October 21 and is said to be recovering.

A GoFundMe campaign launched in June when the toddler was said to be fighting for life in a coma has raised more than $60,000 from donors.

However, the money has been frozen after Queensland Police said they were investigating the woman over reports of ‘child harm’.

A GoFundMe spokeswoman said the page is no longer accepting donations or withdrawing funds, but will return the money to those who donated “in the rare event that something goes wrong.”

‘Our Trust and Safety specialists are investigating the allegations as part of our standard due diligence process. This also includes cooperating with police investigations,” the spokeswoman said.

It comes as the woman’s estranged husband, the child’s father, has also publicly accused her of drugging the child.

People have been suspicious of the mother’s intentions for months

He claimed to have no idea what was allegedly going on and believed that surgery would help his child’s non-cancerous tumors and seizures.

“For what it’s worth, I had no idea what [the mother] was doing [the child]the devastated father said in a social media post on Monday.

‘I pushed for those operations because I felt deep in my heart that it would help.

‘I didn’t know [the child] was [allegedly] she was drugged the whole time which kept her symptoms as they were.

‘I do my best to love and protect my children. I should have done better for them. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect [the child] as I should have done.”

The couple was previously active on multiple social media platforms, but their accounts are no longer updated.

On Tuesday, Queensland Police confirmed their investigation in a statement to Daily Mail Australia, but no charges have been laid.

“The police are aware of reports of child abuse against a one-year-old girl,” the police said.

“Queensland Police have taken action to protect the child and have commenced an investigation.

“As this is an active investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
