She took over online forum Mumsnet asked her if she was being unreasonable in her thoughts about other women sunbathing topless.

The mother, who wished to remain anonymous, told other users that she actually didn’t want to see “boobs on the beach” at all.

She continued with to write: “I’m on vacation and I can’t even count how many times I’ve seen topless women sunbathing on the beach… next one for children!…on non-nudist beaches!

“I really don’t want to see tits in the middle of the day.”

She then explained what made it even worse for her.

The mother said, “Plus, I don’t want my teenage sons or even my DH (sweet husband) watching it.

“It’s obvious they come from certain European countries! Don’t they have any idea what’s right or wrong?”

The post attracted a lot of attention and many disagreed with the mother.

One of them commented: “Are there topless men on this beach? Or is it only women you object to?”

Another added: “They’re just boobs. I bet there are men on the beach with boobs bigger than some women.”

A third gave a detailed answer on how the mother can deal with this situation, writing: “They are literally just boobs, there is no need for drama. You can choose not to stare if they bother you.

“You can also use it as an opportunity to teach your sons 1) not to stare at women and 2) that different parts of the world have different customs and attitudes toward nudity.

“If it offends you, it is your responsibility to travel only to places where the prevailing attitudes are consistent with your own, rather than making sweeping and condemning statements about people who behave in accordance with the customs of the country in which they find themselves.”

While someone else said, “You don’t have to look. It’s just another body part after all.

“I don’t sunbathe topless and I think it’s polite to wear a bikini bottom or t-shirt when walking around, but if you’re comfortable and doing your own thing… it’s no problem at all.

“I don’t think it’s a question of what’s right or wrong!”

What are the laws surrounding topless sunbathing?

The Public Prosecution Service says: “In the case of naturism, a balance must be found between the naturist’s right to freedom of expression and the right of the general public to be protected from intimidation, alarm and distress.”

British Naturism said: “There is no law against being naked in public, so stripping off and enjoying the sun on your skin in your own garden cannot lead to arrest. Nor can your neighbours force you to cover up.

Being a good neighbor may mean telling your neighbors that you plan to sunbathe naked, but that is not required, so don’t hesitate.

“Research has shown that spending time naked is good for you, so we encourage everyone to take advantage of the wonderful weather and celebrate their own uniqueness.”

Surrey Police have previously suggested sunbathing in a spot in the garden that is out of sight.

The law is clear that an offence only occurs if the naked person intended to cause distress or suffering.

And another wrote: “It would be good if your teenage sons understood that breasts are just a body part and not meant for sexual arousal.”

The mother further defended herself in the comments, writing: “How can I not look? They’re not far from me! There’s not many t**s on the street, why are they there on the beach?

“It’s not a nudist beach. There are dozens of families around. How can that be normal?”
