Mother issues stern safety warning to parents as children return to school this week
A mother has issued an urgent warning to other parents after she noticed them posting “unsafe” information on social media.
Kayla Miracle has alarm raised as millions of children in the UK and US head back to school en masse after the six-week summer holidays.
The vigilant mother has criticised some parents as ‘crazy’ for sharing detailed information about their children’s school lives with strangers online.
Among other things, she sees the children’s full names, the name of their school (via photos of their school uniforms) and snapshots of their school buses.
Kayla warned that creeps can find the school address with a quick Google search and even figure out the school bus routes from a photo of the vehicle.
She shared her message via TikTok, begging parents to think again about the information they share publicly on social media.

“I understand this is the first week back to school,” Kayla said.
“Everyone is excited for their babies to go back to school.
“But I’m going to tell you one thing: you have to be careful.
“I’ve watched a few videos and you show the name of your baby’s school… you show the name of their school on their uniform.
“You just have to do a quick Google search to find the address of that school.”
Kayla urged parents to be careful about sharing information about their little ones online because “you don’t know who’s watching.”
“You get way too many views on TikTok from complete strangers,” she continued.
“Why do you let strangers know where your children go to school?
“Many of you parents don’t understand internet safety.”
Kayla was prepared for criticism for her powerful message, but ultimately found support from other social media users.

“I won’t shoot the messenger, but you are 1000% right,” one woman wrote.
“Nothing but the truth… but this should go without saying.”
The parenting experts at the Family Online Safety Institute wrote a internet security guide for parents.
“It is a distressing reality that fully clothed children are often found on dark web predator sites and similar platforms,” they warned.
“Law enforcement agencies have reported cases where these images, despite the children being fully clothed, are sought after by predators.
“This alarming fact highlights the importance of protecting children’s images and being vigilant about their online presence to protect them from potential harm.
“By being careful, respecting privacy consents, considering motives, and protecting ourselves from potential risks, we can find a balance between sharing our children’s moments and protecting their privacy.”
