Motorist killed in horror car crash just weeks after another driver was killed on the remote stretch of road
A man has been killed and another injured after a horrific crash that left a vehicle flipping onto its roof on a NSW highway.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 11am on Friday on the Snowy Mountains Highway in Talbingo, a small town about 55km south of Tumut on the edge of the Snowy Mountains in NSW.
The car was traveling northbound when it left the road and landed on its roof.
The male driver died at the scene.
He has yet to be formally identified but is believed to be in his 40s.
A male passenger, believed to be in his 30s, was treated by paramedics for abdominal and arm injuries and flown to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.
Officers remain at the scene of the accident and the investigation continues.

Traffic was affected in both directions and motorists were allowed to pass in one direction at a time.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Earlier this month a 60-year-old woman died after her motorbike crashed at Kiandra on the Snowy Mountains Highway.
Her motorcycle left the road around 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, November 3, and went down a small embankment.

Paramedics treated her at the scene and she was transported to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.
She later died from her injuries.
