Mount Jagged: Several injured, one seriously in horrific crash south of Adelaide
Seven people, including three young boys, have been taken to hospital after a horrific two-vehicle collision near a busy intersection south of Adelaide.
Emergency services were called to Victor Harbor Rd, near the intersection with Mosquito Hill Rd in Mount Jagged, at around 2.45pm on Thursday following reports of a collision between a car and a pickup truck.
The female driver of the Suburu suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken by helicopter to hospital, where she is now fighting for her life.
Her two passengers, a 26-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy, were injured but their lives were not in danger.
A family of four in the Mitsubishi pickup truck was also injured.
They involved a 46-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman and two boys aged 12 and 10.
The severity of the patients’ injuries has not yet been determined.
Emergency services remained at the scene as major disaster investigators travelled to the crash site, 65km south of Adelaide.

Photos show both the pickup and Suburu sedan were badly damaged, with debris from the crash strewn across the road.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area as Victor Harbor Rd is closed in both directions between Goolwa Rd and Hindmarsh Tiers Rd.
The accident happened hours after a woman and a child suffered life-threatening injuries in a head-on collision near the state border.
The police were also on site a serious crash in Strathalbyn after a car had collided with a parked truck.
The driver was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
