MP CM Yadav seeks apology from Congressman over accusation of money for posting messages | India News – Times of India

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav demanded an apology from the Congress on Saturday over party leader Jitu Patwari’s allegation that officials paid the BJP government money for favourable reports. During a public meeting of the Congress “Kisan Nyay Yatra“on Friday, the leader of the state congress said Patwari alleged that the Collector of Hoshangabad (Narmadapuram) had paid money to purchase the post.
“I want to tell journalists that a fair undercover operation should be conducted on the Hoshangabad (Narmadapuram) tax collector. He will reveal how much money he spent to buy the post. The superintendent of police, tehsildar, patwari, SDM and the in-charge of police stations, no officer or employee will get a police station or post (without offering money). This is the reality of the BJP government,” he alleged.
Reacting to Patwari’s remarks, the Chief Minister said the language used by Congress leaders against officials and workers of Narmadapuram district was insulting.
“The state government supports all of its officials and employees, and Congress should apologize,” he said.
Yadav said the Congress has come out of the mess. current in the state for over 20 years and even failed to lead the government for a while when they came to power (the 15-month Congress rule in 2019-20).
He said the officials and employees of the state government were dedicated and sincere.
“No one can question their (officials’) loyalty and system of government. They should work fearlessly for the betterment of the people,” Yadav said.
Speaking to PTI, Congress leader KK Mishra, media advisor to Patwari, supported the state party leader’s statement.
“An additional collector-level officer was recently caught taking bribes in his office. Officials take bribes to compensate for the money they spent to secure a job vacancy,” Mishra said.
If what the chief minister said is true, then the state government should prepare a list of rates for bribes to get the government’s work done, he said.
