Mrs Hinch fan shares simple no-scrubbing trick to remove limescale from shower heads
A clever woman shared how she removed limescale from her shower head without having to scrub for hours.
Lindsay Etheridge shared the clever trick on social media and revealed the transformation.
“For those of you who have never tried white vinegar to clean shower heads,” Lindsay said as she reviewed the results of the cleaning trick.
Before I cleaned the shower head, it was full of limescale, which disrupted the water flow.
Limescale is a substance made up mainly of calcium and magnesium that is left behind when hard water evaporates, explains Taps UK.
It produces a hard, chalky deposit that forms where water is heated or stagnant.
But Lindsay thought it looked ugly and took action herself.
She took a plastic bag and filled it with white vinegar, then tied it to the shower head.
She then left it for 18 hours before removing the bag.
“I used a toothbrush and a wet wipe at the time. It only took 20 seconds,” she added.
She used the toothbrush to remove the stubborn stains and they disappeared quickly.
Afterwards, her shower head looked like new again and she was very pleased with the result.
The post was a hit in the Facebook group, Mrs Hinch cleaning tipswith almost 500,000 members.
Mrs Hinch became an online sensation with over 4.8 million followers on Instagram thanks to her cleaning and tidying videos.
People were quick to thank her for this simple cleaning trick.
