Mrs Hinch fights back tears as she opens up about ‘out of body experience’
MRS Hinch has spoken candidly about the “rollercoaster of grief” she has experienced since losing her father earlier this year.
The 34-year-old cleanfluencer recently shared her “deep unimaginable pain” following the passing of her father in April this year, recalling experiencing an “out of body experience” since his passing.
The mother-of-two, known online as Sophie Hinchliffe, lost her father Alan after he passed away ‘peacefully’ but unexpectedly in his sleep on April 25, 2024.
The cleaning enthusiast previously said her late father, who suffered from “chest, lung and heart problems” his entire life, “never blessed with… fantastic health” and had been in hospital for several weeks in 2023.
The mother, who recently took an eight-week break from social media and gave fans an up-close look at her new tattoo last week, has now broken her silence and uploaded her first video speaking directly to fans since her father’s death.
Mrs Hinch wrote on her Instagram stories: ‘Just trying to navigate the absolute rollercoaster of grief.
“But I just wanted to say hello and thank you for all the kindness, support and understanding.”
Next we saw the influencer, who counts Stacey Solomon as one of her best friends, film as she sat outside her front door, explaining, “Hello everybody, how are you all doing? How are you all doing?
“I think this is the first time I feel good enough to just come here and chat.
“I think anyone who has followed me for a while or knows me and my family knows that I am very blessed to have been able to spend most of my days with my dad.
“And yeah, I think anyone who has lost a parent knows exactly what’s happening right now.”
Sophie fought back tears and continued: “I thought I’d been through some shit in the past, but this is a whole new world.
“But I’m doing exactly what my father would want me to do: stay strong, keep going, take care of my mother, the house and the boys.”
Sophie thanked her husband for his support and encouraged her fans to spend time with their parents if possible.
She added: Jamie has been an absolute rock and support. He has held my life together over the last few months, so thank you Jamie.
“When you’ve experienced something like that, it’s a bit like an out-of-body experience.
“The world looks different, feels different, smells different, just everything is different.
“For those who are going through it or have gone through it, I know you know. I send you all my love and for those who haven’t gone through it, just go sit with your parents.”
Sophie began to visibly become emotional, she gave a thumbs up and concluded, “See you when I see you all.”
When did Sophie Hinchcliffe’s father die?
On May 8, 2024, Sophie announced that her beloved father had passed away “suddenly, but peacefully.”
Her father passed away on April 25, 2024, but his grieving daughter waited until she was ready to share the sad news with her fans.
In April 2023, Sophie announced that she was taking a break from social media after her father was hospitalized.
She then said, “My dad is in the hospital right now, guys. My dad has never been blessed, let’s say, with fantastic health – of his chest, his lungs, his heart.
“He’s always had a hard time with it, you know.”
She heartbreakingly added: “I just want him to be happy.”
In addition, the mother posted a photo report on her Instagram feed.
Alongside a series of adorable snaps of her young children, Ronnie, five, and Lennie, three, Sophie wrote: “Explaining to your children that their loved one is never coming back is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.
“Life has definitely changed forever, but as parents we find that struggle to get up, walk, talk and just try to laugh through the rollercoaster of grief. If you are going through this too, I am sending you all my love.
“Seeing Ron and Len’s smiles helps us get through each day.
“I wish you all a lovely evening and thank you for the many lovely responses to my story today. It felt scary but also reassuring to come here, I send you love.”
