In a vlog Sue and her husband Noel explained on their YouTube channel how they created the surprise.

“The kids all think we’re going home to the airport, but we’re not,” Noel told their subscribers.

Instead, the family travelled to Port Canaveral, where they boarded the cruise, which cost them £3,800 per night for their group of 15.

The Disney Fantasy cruise is estimated to cost $2,400 (£1,800) per person for seven nights.

“I can’t wait to see their faces, I really can’t,” Noel said as they arrived at the dock.

He turned the camera on an “emotional” Sue wiping away tears as she looked out of the bus window.

The children were also very excited about spending a week on board the ‘huge ship’.

Oscar, 13, described the setup as “amazing” as the family explored one of the pool decks.

“There are two pools, two slides, free ice cream, free drinks, free food, everything. My dream on a ship,” he said.

The family booked three adjoining rooms and gave the public a tour of the adjacent balconies.

Sue and Noel took their younger children to explore the onboard kids’ club.

Amenities included coloring stations, interactive screens and video games.

They also enjoyed some entertainment on the pool deck, where various Disney characters welcomed guests.

After the performance, the Radfords looked out over the Florida coastline as their cruise ship departed.

The group then went to one of the onboard restaurants for dinner.
