Mums are ‘not age sensitive’ after seeing new children’s clothes in Tesco
PARENTS are furious after discovering a new collection of children’s clothing at Tesco.
The new range functions stylish bodysuits, small skirts and leather shorts, but the mothers remained completely divided.
While some saw no problem with the new clothes, other parents did the range was ‘not age appropriate’.
It comes next Georgia Macgregor, 28, a mother of one from Britain, took to social media to give her followers a close-up look at the new girl’s clothes.
Showing off a white T-shirt bodysuit, gray denim skirt and black leather shorts, the content creator posted her clip with the caption, “Madness to me.”
The stunned mum then said: “I was so shocked when I went into Tesco today.

‘They have these kinds of skirts, for children aged four to five, and leather shorts and bodysuits.
“These are things I would wear, not since I was five, come on. Maybe from 10.”
Georgia later wrote: “I honestly couldn’t believe it.
“They belong in the women’s section.
“The skirt made my jaw drop.”
Confused by the range, Georgia wondered, “Am I just getting old?”
In a follow-up clip, Georgia explained why she was particularly shocked to see bodysuits for young girls.
She confessed: “I don’t even like wearing bodysuits, they don’t fit well, so I can’t imagine how a four-year-old girl would feel.”
BIG DISTRIBUTION
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @Georgia96xxxhas clearly left many with their mouths open as at the time of writing it has quickly racked up 55,000 views.
But social media users were deeply divided over Tesco’s children’s clothing.
While some thought it was “so wrong,” others didn’t understand what all the fuss was about.
A mother’s perspective on little girls’ clothes
Sarah Bull, mother of two and Senior Digital Writer at Fabulous, has shared her thoughts on buying clothes for young girls.
She said: “I am lucky to have both a son and a daughter.
“And when it comes to choosing outfits for my kids, I’ve always erred on the more subdued side.
“Even with swimwear, I don’t like the idea of a little girl wearing a bikini, and I will always opt for a swimsuit for her when we go swimming.
“My daughter, who is six, is still in the phase of loving ‘girly’ clothes, like tutus and anything sparkly.
“But if she went to a store and bought a mini denim skirt or a pair of leather shorts that she wanted me to buy, I’m sure I’d put my foot down.
‘She still has years to wear what she wants, but as her mother I will be as strict as I can about her clothing choices.
“So no, put back the leather shorts and swap the miniskirts for a fluffy tutu.”
One person said: “I thought you were showing the adult section, it’s so wrong.”
Another added: “That skirt is a BELT, definitely not age appropriate.”
It’s terrible, way too adult

A third commented: “I just think it’s wrong that I’m ngl, kids should be dressed up as kids.”
Meanwhile, someone else said: “It’s awful, way too grown up.”
Personally, I think the clothes are fine…

But at the same time, a woman asked, “Aren’t most things that babies, etc., wear just glorified bodysuits?”
One mother wondered: “I wear my six-year-old in leather shorts with tights in the winter, boots and thick sweaters? Shouldn’t I be?”
While another shopper wrote: “Personally I think the clothes are fine…BUT it’s the way you style them!”
Fabulous has contacted Tesco for comment.
