Mums are rushing to Tesco to get a new children’s collection in time for Christmas
PARENTS are racing to get their hands on the cutest Christmas party outfits for kids from Tesco.
Now that the holidays are just around the corner, moms and dads are getting excited and heading to the shops to get all the Christmas necessities.
One of the places offering a wide variety of cheap Christmas items is also Tesco, where shoppers can buy snacks, drinks, decorations and festive clothing, for both adults and children.
The mega supermarket recently added a new range of party outfits for the little ones to its ever-expanding collection – and parents are loving it.
Because Christmas is all about sparkle and glamour, the must-have items are covered in dazzling sequins, with prices starting from just £16.
One of the gorgeous pieces we spotted on the retailer’s website is a white sequin dress for an affordable £16 – this will look beyond cute paired with comfy flats as the kids dance around the Christmas tree.
Don’t like dresses? Then we think F&F’s brand new gold sequin top and bottom set is the perfect choice – and you can grab it for £22.
The same set is also available in black and comes with a pair of sparkly shorts, which you can wear with tights underneath to keep them warm.
Tesco also showed off some of its latest arrivals on Instagram, including a gold sequin bomber jacket paired with a light tulle skirt, as well as a beautiful light cream sequin top with a cute bow detail at the back.
Other goodies to look for the next time you go to the store are smart plaid shirts and comfortable monochrome sets that don’t cost a fortune.
The epic new range has already become a huge hit on social media, with cash-strapped parents raving about the collection.
One mother wrote: ‘I have both of these for my girls. I love that the sequins are back for Christmas!”
Another said: ‘Just got my daughter a beautiful sparkly dress for her school Christmas party.’
”Simply beautiful,” someone else commented.
“These are really cute,” one Instagram user added.
Christmas fashion tips from an expert
CLEMMIE Fieldsend, fashion editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.
AVOID: Christmas sweaters
They are no longer a novelty, they have now become boring again and do not belong at a festive party.
By all means, go all in for Christmas Sweater Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.
WEAR: Burgundy
At this time of year you can’t avoid burgundy and it is a luxurious, deep and rich color that is a welcome change from the Christmas red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.
AVOID: PJs
The trend of feather-trimmed combination sets has had its day and is so dated.
This year, don’t break out your hair-plucked pair and buy a new set, instead, still go for the satin two-piece, but stay away from the plumes.
WEAR: Sequin dress
Try changing up the sequins a bit by wearing them with a different texture or color, for example a sequin skirt with a tight knit.
But if you really don’t know what to wear, reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.
AVOID: Sequin blazer
There’s nothing worse than showing up to a festive gig that looks like the hired entertainment.
Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and strict judges, but always opt for a classic tuxedo style or velvet instead.
WEAR: Bling pants
Last season, embellished jeans with diamond bling were having a moment, and this year they’re going to be just as big a hit.
If you don’t want gemstones pinging everywhere, try metallic PU pants.
Christmas pajamas from Primark
Need more inspiration for your children’s Christmas wardrobe? Then it’s worth planning a trip to your local Primark, where shoppers are loving their new festive PJs.
Leanne, known on TikTok as @funclubxis one of the festive fans who recently got their hands on their new Christmas children’s range.
She shared a video of her find and captioned it: “Primark baby Christmas Christmas dressing gown and reindeer fleece pajamas. £13 yes, yes and yes.”
They are selling a red fleece dressing gown, which resembles Santa’s outfit, for £13.
The budget store is also selling matching baby booties, with a black and gold buckle and ‘Santa’s Little Helper’ on the soles, for £5.
Her video received a lot of attention, with many people rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.
