MVA wins over 180 seats in Maharashtra elections: Cong leader Balasaheb Thorat | India News – Times of India
MUMBAI: Senior Congress leader Balasaheb Torah said on Thursday the Maha Vikas Aghadi will win over 180 of the 288 seats in the Maharashtra state assembly in the upcoming elections.
Speaking to reporters in Ahmednagar, about 260 kilometres from here, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader also said that consensus had been reached in the MVA, which comprises his party, the Shiv Sena (UBT) and the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), with 125 seats, while discussions are still ongoing about the remaining seats.
“The MVA will win over 180 seats,” Thorat claimed. The Assembly elections are likely to be held in Maharashtra in October-November.
