My $1.25 body wash is ‘literally the same’ as a $10 body wash beloved by influencers
A BEAUTY fan shared a dupe of a beloved, more expensive body wash.
She explained that despite the lower price, the products were virtually identical.
Richelle Robinson (@richellerrobinson) shared the beauty tip in a TikTok video.
She compared Personal Care’s Coconut Vanilla body wash to Native’s $10 Coconut Vanilla version, a body wash beloved by influencers.
Richelle explained that the Dollar Tree version only cost her $1.25, but the ingredients list was accurate.
“It’s pretty much the same,” she said.
“They may use different surfactants and so on and so forth… but it’s literally the same thing.”
She added that she also didn’t notice any difference in her shower experience.
“If you close your eyes, you can’t hear the difference at all.”
Although the Native version smelled “a little nuttier” to her and the Dollar Tree version leaned more toward “coconut with some sugar,” she reiterated that they were “literally the same.”

While the Native body wash is sulfate-free, the Dollar Tree imitation is paraben-free.
After testing the two products on the back of her hand, she found that the consistencies were the same.
“They smell the same on the skin,” she added.
Viewers thanked her for the helpful demonstration video and recommendation.
“I’m going to stock up on Dollar Tree knockoffs because I’m broke,” one commenter said.
“We’re all broken. Go get them,” Richelle replied.
“I always thought I would never use cheap products on my body or face, but here I am with a complete collection of almost every Dollar Tree body wash scent and I love it,” said another.
“They are indeed good.”
“Great review. Bought all three today,” said a third.
“I took all eight bottles of coconuts from my shop,” confessed a fourth.
Those who tried it themselves were pleasantly surprised.
“I bought some today and it smells better than my Native,” said one commenter.
“It’s weird, I like the Dollar Tree ones better!” agreed another.
