My $1.25 Dollar Tree skincare gives me a glow — I don’t need another $14 Elf purchase
A beauty fanatic was impressed with her radiant complexion after incorporating two Dollar Tree products into her skincare routine.
She enthusiastically shared that she no longer had to spend money on an Elf Cosmetics beauty product to look flawless.
The customer shared her honest opinion about Dollar Tree’s skin care line on Reddit’s Drugstore MUA forum, which has nearly 180,000 members.
TWICE AS BEAUTIFUL
Her photo showed the Glow Finish Blend Extender and Personal Care Reviving Aloe Mist from Real Techniques, purchased for $1.25 each.
“I bought these two items at Dollar Tree and I love what they do for my skin and makeup application,” she said, writing under the name Professional-Log-530.
“The Aloe Spray is super hydrating and I now spray it on my face under my makeup before applying sunscreen.
“It stings a little at first, but that could be because I have rosacea (not currently experiencing a flare-up) and my skin is sensitive to alcohol upon initial contact.
“I use the Real Techniques Glow finish on my beautyblender (just a light spray or two) before applying my skin tint.
“It leaves a beautiful, healthy glow.
“I can actually leave my Elf Halo Glow out now if I want. I thought I’d give you all a heads up on these two new finds!”

REFILL
The Redditor saved money by buying on a budget, as the Halo Glow Liquid Filter costs $14.74 at Walmart.
Many people gave her a positive review and thanked her for sharing the product recommendations.
“I bought about 20 of these but had no idea where to use them in my makeup process so thank you,” one person said.
“I’ve been trying to find that Real Techniques spray at various dollar trees! I can’t find it anywhere,” another commented.
The Redditor shared that she stocked up on the must-have item.
“I ended up buying 3 or 4 bottles spread out over 6 weeks,” she replied.
“Once every week or two.”
“I didn’t want to be greedy in case someone wanted them, but no one came in. They were put together, but I didn’t care.
“This sweet guy who works there calls me TikTok because I get the makeup that influencers recommend here, lol.”
Dollar Tree Duplicates
Savvy shoppers have been scouring Dollar Tree for counterfeits of their favorite products
Shoppers found a perfect replica of a $150 Pottery Barn plate and bowl set. Plus, Dollar Tree has matching mugs.
Dollar Tree also had dupes for the Starbucks cups that went viral.
Customers found counterfeits of Home Depot’s $39 outdoor solar lights.
Dollar Tree also has an imitation of The Pink Stuff cleaning paste.
MORE DUPES
The product recommendations come after TikToker Kylie (@kyl13gilbert) was impressed with a counterfeit product sold at Dollar Tree.
Dollar Tree’s Hydrating Facial Wipes retail for $1.25, while Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Cleansing Towelettes retail for $6.98 at Target.
Kylie said the cheaper version was “definitely good” because it cleaned her skin perfectly after sleeping with her makeup on.
She added that the 25-wipe package felt “thick” and “nice.”
