My $12 foundation gives a nice glow – people say it’s a Charlotte Tilbury knockoff
A seasoned makeup fan shares the budget foundation he or she likes best for glowing skin.
They explained that it is often seen as an imitation of the more expensive Charlotte Tilbury Foundation.
The Reddit user shared their beauty tip in a post.
They revealed that the $12 Maybelline Instant Age Rewind 4-in-1 Perfector Glow is their favorite base makeup product.
“It has VERY light coverage, but it looks like skin,” they said.
“Some people call this an imitation of the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter.”
They explained that they had tried the $49 Charlotte Tilbury product themselves and found the Maybelline one much better.
“I find the Flawless Filter greasier, if that makes sense, and it gives my face a weird tint that Maybelline doesn’t,” they said.
They shared other drugstore favorites that have turned out to be a regular part of their routine.
“The best setting powder I’ve found so far is the NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop pressed powder,” they said.

This find, which they can normally find on Amazon for around $10, outperformed the more expensive luxury brands they had tried.
“I have tried the more expensive powders from Laura Mercier, Pat McGrath, Tarte, Charlotte Tilbury and the like, but I like the NYX the best,” they said.
“NYX makes you SMOOTH.”
Maybelline’s foundation and NYX’s powder duo complement each other well, they added.
“[It] “Gives a nice glow under NYX powder,” they explained.
For concealer they chose the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser.
The drugstore concealer turned out to be an instant classic for them.
“Oldy but goody. Again, I tried Tarte Shape Tape, Nars Radiant, One Size concealer, etc.,” they said.
“I use this under my eyes and sometimes all over my face depending on how much coverage I want that day, over the Maybelline Glow and it looks amazing!”
Their makeup technique contributes greatly to the optimal performance of the three products, they add.
“I use a brush to apply the NYX powder after applying the two Maybelline products with a Beautyblender,” they revealed.
“Sometimes I even do my contour, highlight, and blush BEFORE I apply the powder, and the NYX blends everything together beautifully. I’m a huge fan of the NYX powder! Can you tell?”
